The One Page Business Plan
I'm a huge fan of the one page business plan idea, especially for my web ventures. There's no need for a 50-page document that tells you the Exec Summary, the detailed Marketing, Sales, Management, Product plan.
My one pager business plan clearly outlines the following things:
My company's vision
The business model
Goals and targets
Strategies we'll focus on
Management mechanisms
If you want to know how to create the one page business plan for your business, here's a really good book of the same title.
It should be easy enough to quickly read every week to reflect on where you are, where you're going and how much progress you've made.
I think this kind of plan could be modeled in any business, but it's definitely easier with an internet-based business.
